For sale white Daihatsu Charade G10 from 1981 (1st generation, 2nd version).

Whats good: it doesnt want to die, for 40 euro worth of petrol you can drive it to Japan, registered with black plates - only 8 euro license and pretty cheap insurance. Very easy to handle on street and pretty fast if you obey the speed limit. 4 adults and a shopping session and there is still space for a small cat or dog. Clutch, battery, sparkplugs, ignition wires, tires and breaks recently replaced. Gearbox was almost dead, I had it fixed. Mechanics good as a tank. Odo around 99k km. VRT each 2 years, next one in Aug 2026. Usual maintenance recently done: oil and filters, cleaned the carburator. Speedometer cable is broken and needs to be replaced.

Whats bad: no AC, still drivable in the summer with the fan on and windows down. Some rust signs, just estetical issue. Stereo only works on radio, mono, better listen to the sound that 3 cilindres beast is making when revving it. If you stall it while driving and turn the ignition off, steering wheel will lock and you have a nearby death experience. Need quick reflexes or good driving skills (not like me, used with tractors). Still need to find a rubber sealing for air filter compartiment, old one is kaput. Speedometer cable is broken and needs to be replaced.
