The series "History of Ships - The Magnificent Saga of Man's Conquest of the Seas" came out in 96 weekly parts in the early seventies.

The series was published by New English Library and edited by E.L.Cornwell.

Each issue consisted of several articles spread over 20 pages and richly illustrated.

Issue No.11 featured the following articles:-

1) The Slaver

2) Marco Polo & The Junk

3) The Queen Mary

4) The Malta Convoys

5) Uniforms at Sea 1 / Close to the Wind

Condition is excellent with some minor cover wear.

The detailed article about the Malta Convoys is richly illustrated and includes two paintings by marine painter Norman Wilkinson housed at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
