Description
Three programmes from the first round games of the European Cup ( Champions League ) 1967/68 between Manchester United and Hibernians ( Malta ):-
1. Official programme of match between Manchester United and Hibernians played at Old Trafford on 20th September 1967. In excellent condition. For the record United won 4-0.
2. Official programme of return match between Hibernians and Manchester United played at the Empire Stadium, Gzira on 27th September 1967, which finished 0-0. Condition is excellent also.
3. A soccer magazine issued here in Malta, edited by Emanuele B.Pace, to commemorate these 2 matches.It contains 8 pages, including cartoon drawings of the Hibs players plus a team photo of the United squad and short write-ups on the United players. In excellent condition also.
United went on to win the European Cup of Champions for the first time that season, beating Benfica 4-1 at Wembley in the final.
