HF 6 band vertical antenna
€ 370
Description
The Grazioli MV6 is a 1/4 λ Ground Plane multiband vertical antenna that is resonant in the 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 m HAM bands. The antenna consists of a central radiator for the 20 m band, flanked by 4 side resonators for the higher bands. The ground plane is formed by 4 horizontal radials with a length of 2.7 m. The lateral resonators are held in parallel position to the main radiator with non-conductive spacers, while the conductive connection is located at the base near the feed point.
For the particularly precisely manufactured element tubes, the resistant aluminum alloy AW6063-T66 is used.
It can also be seen in the details that the manufacturer is breaking new ground instead of relying on standard solutions: for example, the antenna connector is not a standard SO239 socket as used by most manufacturers, but a part developed and manufactured by Grazioli itself. This reliable connector has a true characteristic impedance of 50 ohms and is designed for frequencies up to 500 MHz, withstanding high continuous RF power levels.
The housing is made of CW614N nickel-plated brass, while the pin is plated with 24-karat gold to prevent oxidation and is equipped with a PTFE insulator that maintains its centering and elasticity to prevent contact loss.
The entire assembly is protected by a special elastomer jacket that prevents water and moisture from entering.
The included corrosion-resistant mounting hardware allows the antenna to be attached to masts with diameters from 40 - 54 mm. Guying of the antenna is not required, making it possible to operate it in limited spaces and easy to install.
The MV6 is fed directly without the use of impedance transformers which would introduce losses and limit the applicable power, it is equipped with a high impedance inductance which creates a DC short circuit, dispersing to ground any disturbances caused by atmospheric events and/or electrostatic discharges.
Tuning is performed by adjusting the lenght of the telescopic parts of the radiators and the main radiator, each band is independent and does not interact with the other bands, except for the 17 m band (18 MHz), which also determines the resonance of 6 m (50 MHz). We recommend the use of a graphical antenna analyzer which makes tuning much more easy and convenient.
