For sale are young trees of Delonix Regia, also called the "Flamboyant Tree" or the "Flame Tree"

The Delonix or Flame Tree is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the world's flowering trees. Wide-spreading, umbrella-shaped tree of rapid growth to 30ft. tall and twice as wide. The fern-like leaves, are neatly cut into many tiny leaflets, which give plenty of shade. Vivid orange-red Blooms are followed by 2 feet-long black seedpods that hang on bare branches in winter. Easy to grow but sensitive to cold. It is well adapted to the Maltese climate and there a number a wonderful examples around the island, not least in Castille Square, in front of St James Cavalier, Valletta.
