Brilliant 2 euro commemorative coin card of Belgium commemorating the 200 years of the University of Liège. The University of Liège is a major public university in the French Community of Belgium. More than 2000 people, academics, scientists and technicians, are involved in research of a wide variety of subjects from basic research to applied research.

The design shows the coat of arms of the University of Liège, with the left the year "1817" and right the year "2017.", Below is the coat of arms of Herzele, the mark of the Director of Brand Ingrid van Herzele, the sign "BE", which identifies Belgium, and the Head of the Archangel Gabriel with a cross above, symbol of the Brussels Mint.
