Giorgio Vasari was an Italian painter, writer, historian and architect. His artistic training was composite, based on the first manner, on Michelangelo, Raphael and on the Venetian culture. As an architect, he was the key figure of the initiatives promoted by Cosimo I de' Medici, helping, thanks to the protection of Sforza Almeni, a major building projects in Florence and Tuscany, among which the construction of the Uffizi, the renovation of Palazzo Vecchio and very more.
