First Commis Chef

Malta Healthcare Caterers Limited is seeking to recruit a Commis to join its kitchen team involved in the preparation of meals for the healthcare sector.
The position will be:
- reporting to the Chef de Partie or Chef Tournant
- Based in the south of Malta
- on roster basis during days only - no evening / night shifts
- working in a state of the art kitchen fully equipped for industrial cook & chill
The main duties of the position include:
- Stores requisition, organise food items and stocks in the kitchen area and prepare ingredients in the prescribed manner.
- Prepare, cook and present according to standard recipes and SOP’s, maintaining quality and consistency in all productions.
- Observe food safety regulations including HACCP and other standards and procedures implemented by the Company.
- Perform any other tasks as may be requested from time to time by supervisors.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
- Experience in a similar position
- Good communication, reading and writing skills in English.
- Able to work in a team environment while following rules and procedures
- Demonstrate diligence and reliability.
