STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit Technicians to work within the Maintenance Sections of the Assembly and Testing & Finishing Departments.
The job holder shall be responsible for complex technical maintenance of assigned equipment, to keep high Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) on assigned equipment and for the preventive maintenance (PM) and upkeep of equipment and maintenance areas.


The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing complex technical maintenance on assigned equipment
• Performing major technical interventions, including Preventive Maintenance (PM)
• Performing Detectability Robustness Self-Prevention (DRS) checks
• Making interventions in the shortest time possible
• Guiding Junior Technicians and Operators, as required
• Completing the necessary documentation
• Entering data in IT system
• Maintaining an ordered and clean toolbox and workshop
• Working in a safe manner

Qualifications

•The ideal candidate shall:
• Possess an MQF Level 4 Qualification in a Technical/Engineering related subject or comparable certifications, or 5 years experience in a similar role
• Have a good understanding of Safe Working and 5S Practices
• Be able to use Mobile devices for work related tasks (Intervention documentation, RTP)
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Have a good command of the English language
• Be responsible and mature
• Be smart and goal oriented
• Be flexible, adaptable to needs and be able to take decisions following continuous inputs
• Be computer literate
• Be disciplined, motivated and willing to work in a team
• Be able to work with minimal supervision and under own initiative
• Preferably be knowledgeable of electronics industry manufacturing equipment
