Human Resources Officer

Mizzi Motors Ltd is looking to recruit an HR Officer to oversee and perform the day-to-day duties related to the HR department including handling of HR related queries and documentation, employee relations, maintaining attendance records and processing of payroll related information.


Tasks:
• Provide information to employees including Management regarding vacation leave entitlements, probationary periods and expiry or renewal of contracts of employment.
• Ensure that employee related information is maintained and processed in a strictly confidential manner and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
• Process the necessary documentation as per Recruitment Checklist for the onboarding process of new employees.
• Coordinate and assist in the induction process.
• Liaise with the respective manager on the employee's goals upon engagement.
• Monitor the probationary period of the employees and conduct review meetings with both the employee and their respective Manager to discuss both performance and goals set upon engagement.
• Monitor contracts of employment especially in relation to date of expiry of definite contracts.
• Obtain approval from the HR Manager and the respective General Manager with regards to the confirmation of employment prior to the expiry of the probationary period and the renewal of contracts and then process documentation accordingly.
• Process the necessary documentation upon termination of employment of an employee.
• Maintain organisational charts.
• Maintain the refer a friend scheme.
• Liaise with the respective representatives from each company and make any payroll adjustments in the Shireburn System for both the fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Send any updates and payroll related information to the Corporate Office Payroll Administrators by the stipulated cut off dates.
• Liaise with the Corporate Office Payroll Administrators and the Human Resources Manager on any payroll related issues and keep them informed of any changes related to the employees.
• Liaise with the Training Co-ordinators to ensure that the employees’ training records are up to date.
• Assist in organising any events or activities.
