Store Keeper

The ROCS Group is looking for a Store Keeper to support our operations through the provision of a range of stock control and related administrative duties. The selected individual will be required to work on his / her own initiative, reporting results through predetermined procedures.
The selected candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English.
• Previous experience in store-keeping and / or stock control duties is considered an asset and candidates having such experience will be given preference.
The key responsibilities of this post include:
Stock Control Duties:
• Processing purchase orders and invoices.
• Receiving deliveries.
• Reconciling Delivery notes with purchase orders and with actual stock deliveries.
• Daily replenishment of stock across the group.
• Organising stock on shelves.
• Place stock in designated areas for ongoing projects.
• Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stock.
• Liaising with the accounts department.
Administrative Duties:
• Entering stock items in the system and allocating them to their respective departments.
• Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stocks.
General Office:
• Answering telephone calls, taking messages or dealing with callers when necessary.
• Liaising with the company’s foreign suppliers vis-à-vis invoices, order and stock queries
Qualifications
You must also possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English.
• Previous experience in store-keeping and / or stock control duties is considered an asset and candidates having such experience will be given preference .
• Must have enthusiasm, be self-motivated and possess good empathy skills.
• Candidates must have a minimum A level standard of education.
• Candidates should also have a good basic knowledge of Accounts, preferably up to O level standard.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications and any stock control and point of sale software applications.
• Candidates must also possess an understanding and knowledge of general retail procedures.
• Ability to work on own initiatives and as part of a team.
• Able to work under pressure, particularly with tight deadlines.
• Candidates must be responsible, reliable and trustworthy.
