Reception Manager
Grand Hotel Gozo
We are looking for a Reception Manager who will oversee the Reception Team to ensure our procedures and customer service standards are adhered to.
Previous experience in Reservations is required as initially you will handle to day to day hotel bookings, under the supervision of the Front Office & Reservations Manager.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensuring that the Reception and Reservations desks run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead by example, boosting morale and making sure your team consistently delivers the highest standards of customer service.
• Liaising with all departments on a daily basis
• Ensuring correct hand over procedure of daily business
• You will have the responsibility of guiding, training and developing the reception team
• Dealing with customer complaints / compliments
• Carry out advanced reservations; deal with room allocations, guest arrivals, check-in and departure procedures
• Check that all postings, bills, accounts, cash and credit transactions, floats, adjustments, allowances, balancing and hand-over procedures are implemented proficiently
• Issue Tour Operators bills upon check-out and follow up payment deadlines
• Monitor the standards of work, working practices, productivity and standards of customer care of all employees within the department
• To carry out reception duties and cover when business demands it
• To be fully aware of rates and promotions and to quote such rates in line with hotel revenue strategy. Ensuring maximum occupancy and rates are achieved at all times
Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to speak German is a strong asset
• Warm and outgoing personality
• Flexibility to work shifts, week-ends and public holidays
• Good range of administration skills and must be IT literate
• Have the ability to multi task
• Great team player, a hands-on individual
• The ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
• At least 2 years’ experience in Front Office and/or Reservations
• Valid driving license (not mandatory)

Salary depending on experience.
