Head Chef

Emperor of India

The Emperor of India is looking for suitably qualified head chef, specializing in ethnic Indian foods.

The chosen candidate is expected to have a good command of written and spoken English and have experience in the preparation of Indian cuisine, particularly the different cuisines that are served in the different regions of the country. The ability to handle the pressure and hours of a very busy kitchen is a must.

The head chef should also be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a kitchen and its staff to its highest standard; determine the menu and direct the purchasing of the necessary ingredients and quality thereof.

Also expected to have a neat disposition, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the highest quality standards and hygene. Candidates are also expected to be team players, working on a shift basis including weekends and public holidays with overtime as necessary.
