Batch plant operations

• Controls production and load-out of material produced in the plant.
• Batches concrete loads according to specifications.
• Responsible for the efficient and safe working condition of plant equipment.
• Orders raw materials daily for production. Coordinates, receipts and manages inbound
• deliveries of materials.
• Loads and delivers materials as required.
• Maintains time and material records. Estimates raw material inventories on hand.
• Other duties as assigned.

Dispatching

• Accurately and courteously receives orders from and/or solicits orders.
• Answers incoming calls providing timely customer support.
• Gets orders out on time.
• Assigns drivers for scheduled deliveries. Plans effective delivery routes.
• Checks and reviews all orders before they are shipped.
• Prepares delivery tickets and related shipping documents, as necessary.
• Record the overtime and report to the HR Department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Production Responsibilities

• assist in achieving the goals of the Company.
• Responds courteously and conscientiously to the customer expectations for quality
and service.
• Work closely with the Plant Manager in planning, scheduling, and directing the operations.
• Along with the Plant Manager, provides first-line supervision of concrete mixer truck drivers
and production employees (loader operator, helper, labourer, mechanics, etc.).
• Assists in the resolution of job/customer complaints.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requires

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Initiative. Resourceful. Excellent attendance. Always on time.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
• Ability to maintain positive relationships between employees and co-workers.
• Works safely.
• Command computer (goggle, maps, Microsoft, emails)
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Able to work Monday to Saturday
• Requires corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
• Requires hearing corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
• Requires the use of mandated personal protective equipment.
• Good health condition to climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling, walk and stand for long periods.
• English and Maltese languages are mandatory
• 3 years of experience
