A Chef de Partie is responsible for effectively producing food to the highest level, organization, and running of the section assigned to.
What will you be doing?
Working on both the Grill and Pasta Section
Ensuring that all food preparation meets standards
Preparing and presenting high-quality food
Supervising staff
Keeping all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination
Preparing all mise-en-place for all relevant menus
Contributing to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
Assisting other departments wherever necessary and maintaining good working relationships
Assisting the Chef Patron in the training of all staff in compliance with company procedures
Reporting maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
Qualifications
Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie role
Have strong coaching skills
Be able and have the desire to motivate the team
Have excellent communication skills
Have achieved a basic food hygiene certificate
Have a positive attitude
Be able to work in a busy environment
Be able to work on own or in teams
Be creative and innovative and follow current culinary trends
