This role involves routine manual work in the operation of laundering equipment and extractors. It includes a variety of miscellaneous tasks to ensure that soiled laundry will be cleaned and returned in a sanitary condition. Receives and sorts items according to their condition and checks them for damages or stains. Loads items into washers and dryers and operates them in accordance with safety standards. Supplies recommended quantities of detergents and bleaches, making sure all stains are removed.Sorts and counts items as they are removed from dryer, folding them accordingly. Maintains the laundry room and all its equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
Performs any related work as required.
