Engineering Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
• Following the Engineering Assistant Managers’ instructions;
• Perform diagnostics on electrical and mechanical failures;
• Perform diagnostics on breakdowns and incidences;
• Staff management: managing of work orders, spare parts request, fleet analysis, and roster preparation;
• Assign duties to the Supervisors, Mechanics and Electricians teams of the workshop;
• Supervise the technical team performance, up to the required standard;
• Assure the staff complete the required works and their job card;
• Validate job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability;
• Ensure effective cleaning and organization of work areas and tools regularly, including hazardous wastes management;
• Follow the company’s health and safety policies;
• Coordinate and supervise required works to achieve established goals for the company in the workshop;
• Assure the established planning by Engineering Manager is accomplished addressing the company standard levels on reliability and safety;
• Carry out other duties that can be allocated or delegated by Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:
• Advanced City and Guilds or equivalent qualification; or five 5 years working experience in a similar position;
• Three (3) working experience within an industrial and heavy vehicle workshop;
• Intermediate level in either English, Maltese or Spanish - (verbal & written);
• Must be organized and able to coordinate and communicate well with others;
• Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems;
• Leadership skills and ability to motivate others;
• Required to work shifts between Monday and Sunday on a roster basis, including night shifts.
