James Caterers Ltd. started off as a one-man catering business early in 1989, producing and distributing own delicacies from home. However, throughout the years with plenty of forethought, the right dosage of creativity and a touch of class this one-man business transformed into a fully-fledged prosperous catering business.We are now seeking to continue enhancing our team in this core area of our business and are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join us as Logistics Supervisor.

The Logistics Supervisor must ensure that the Drivers under his/her responsibility abide with the standard operating procedures and regulations set by the company.

TASKS

• Ensure that all items being delivered match with the Production Orders.
• Schedule and update Drivers ’rosters as required.
• Emphasis with all staff the correct hygiene practices.
• Instruct staff correct and efficient work practices.
• Emphasis with staff that each one carries the responsibility of what they are doing.
• Ensuring that best before dates being used are always used accordingly. Correct circulation i.e. first in first out must be carefully administered.
• Handling of any queries from clients.


HUMAN RESOURCES

• Maintain a healthy relationship with other supervisors, superiors, piers and subordinates alike.
• Fosters a feeling of belonging to the company in all the department’s employees.
• Inspires understanding amongst all employees in his department and in all other departments.
• Ensures that all staff observes the Health and Safety, Security and Hygiene policies of the company.
• Must project a good image in terms of personality and appearance at all times.

RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY

• To organise and co-ordinate the work orders and the tasks of all employees under his/ her supervision.

Management

• As part of the supervisory team he/ she should continuously upholds the company policies.
• Is responsible to maintain discipline amongst all employees.
Supervise, coach and train Logistics warehouse workforce
• Adhere to any procedures established by the Company or the Department’s Management.

Qualifications

A qualification in Logistics or experience working in a leadership role in a Logistics environment is preferred.

The applicant should have basic computer skills.

Preferably but not essential : Driving License C or C1
