Shop Manager

As a Shop Manager the employee is responsible for the whole operation of the Shop. The Shop Manager leads the team in order to run a smooth operation.
The Shop Manager duties include;
Customer Care
• Making sure that all customers are being given an excellent customer care experience at all times
• Following up on any customer suggestions or complaints
Products
• All shelves must be stocked according to company guidelines
• Ordering of stock is to be made in a manner to ensure adequate stock levels
• Checking deliveries against invoices to make sure that all items have been received according to what has been ordered
• Making sure that all items listed on the invoice have been actually delivered
• Constantly checking that prices are correct and that price tags are updated accordingly.
• Monitoring stocks and taking active part in the stock taking process

Meeting targets
• Achieving Sales targets
• Achieving bottom line targets
• Working on increasing number or receipts and average spent

Reports
• Compiling rosters according to shop needs in order to be adequately staffed at all times whilst keeping hours within the budgeted hours
• Filling up daily sales reports as requested
• Preparing reports that might be requested from time to time

Employees
• Coaching and training employees to be proficient in all areas
• Assign duties to all employees
• Making sure that the team is working in an efficient and effective manner
• Inform payroll and HR about changes in employees’ payroll status
• Motivate, help & encourage the outlet team to better their performance

Policies and Procedures
• Making sure that all Health and Safety Policies are adhered to
• Confirming that all checklists are filled in correctly and in a timely manner
• Making sure that all company policies are implemented and followed

Others
• All areas are kept tidy and clean at all times
• Supporting other outlets in any help might need
• Putting forward ideas and suggestions to the Senior Management team
• Carrying out spot checks on cashes and confirming if there are any excessive under or overs

Qualifications

• Have at least 3 years of experience in the field
• Excel in Category Management
• Excel in Customer Focus
• Experience in management of revenue and expenses budgets
• Experience in Vendor relationships and control on pricing
• Market knowledge, Identify local market trends & monitor competitors
• Results Driven
• Management Proficiency
• Clients Relationships
• Effective Verbal Communication
