Electronics Service Tehcnician

A vacancy has arisen for a Service Technician-Electronics to work initially on day basis, but might be asked to work on shift within the Engineering Services Department. The main tasks, amongst others, include:

•Assisting supplier personnel in installing or upgrading machinery

•Relocating machinery

•Repairing, modifying or upgrading machinery, as per agreed timeframes

•Maintaining the repair request system and providing feedback as necessary

•Supporting PGs and other departmental personnel in case of machine breakdowns

•Creating preventive maintenance working instructions

•Conducting preventive maintenance on machinery, as per schedule

•Identifying machinery parts that are prone to wear and tear

•Issuing of requests for spare parts

•Updating machine and preventive maintenance information on internal company software

Qualifications

Applicants for the post should ideally meet the following requirements:

•Have a technical diploma or equivalent, preferably in industrial electronics engineering

•Have good interpersonal skills

•Have good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

•Have a good command of the English Language
