Systems Administrator

A vacancy has arisen within the MIS Department for a Systems Administrator, to join the IT Systems Support team. The main tasks, amongst others, include:
•Performing all preventive maintenance on IT hardware on a regular basis
•Handling access management of the company`s resources and the reporting of any security breaches within the system
•Ensuring that all critical operations are well documented and accessible to relevant personnel
•Maintaining all system documentation, updating the documents accordingly and making sure all documents are accessible by relevant users
•Carrying out routine system backups to ensure system security and business continuation in case of emergency
•Creating and maintaining test environments for new systems being tested when possible
•Performing any other tasks assigned by the M.I.S. Manager
Qualifications
Applicants for the post should ideally have knowledge and experience in:
•IBM iSeries and Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2013 environments
•Microsoft Windows 7 & 10
•Windows Deployment services
•Microsoft Exchange & SQL
•CISCO network equipment
•Electronics
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years experience in IT support and possess a relevant IT qualification.
