Carlo Gavazzi is an international group active in designing, manufacturing and marketing electronic equipment.
The Group's products (sensors, monitoring relays, timers, energy management systems, solid state-relays, safety devices, fieldbus systems) provide automation solutions for the global markets of industrial and building automation.
Typical customers are original equipment manufacturers of packaging machines, plastic-injection molding machines, food and beverage production, conveying and material handling equipment, door and entrance control systems, lifts and escalators as well as heating, ventilation and air conditioning devices.
Carlo Gavazzi's products are marketed across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific through a network of 22 own sales companies and through more than 60 independent national distributors.

Role and Responsibilities
• Leading the business in an area which includes Sourcing Operations, R&D, Product Management, Product Sales Support and a strong interface with the Sales Organization as well as Customers.
• Developing business management goals and objectives that support growth
• Designing and implementing business plans and strategies to the attainment of goals
• Ensuring that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates to lead one of our three business lines (Switches) where the main operation is taking place in Malta. Some product lines are as well located in Italy and China. The position is reporting to the CEO of Carlo Gavazzi, Automation Components. The candidates should be an experienced Business Manager to lead and oversee the work of employees in our company. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations as well setting strategic goals for the future.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all matter of business. They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture.
The goal will be to ensure the profitability of our company’s activities to drive sustainable development and long-term success.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as business manager or relevant role
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems
• BSc/Ba in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus

Preferred Skills
• Strong experience from factory sourcing operations
• Experience in Leading an environment with research & development and as well product management
• Drive Change in the business to improve the business results
• Able to organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
• Having a strong knowledge of customers and the market
• Able to network and collaborate across the organization
• Showing cultural awareness
