Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Person to be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the company properties, such as main job in the hotel premises and the restaurants in its surroundings , plus restauraants on other locations. The chosen candidate will be required to keep the daily routine of water temp etd, and be responsible for general maintenance duties such as changing of light bulbs, painting works, moving furniture as appropriate. The Maintenance Person will also be required to assist other staff on duty in every day duties. The correct candidate must be able to take direction well and work successfully within a team environment.

Qualifications

Perform minor repairs to equipment or appliances
Respond to emergency situations (e.g. loss of electrical supply, flooding)
Identify and report the need for major repairs
Moving and assembling of office furniture
Plumbing and general electrical works;
Gypsum/drywall installations;
Painting;
General installations and repairs on windows, doors and hardware;
Tile repairs;
Take water an electricity meter readings;
General preventative maintenance;
Undertake other required duties as assigned.
The role calls for a pro-active, hands-on person with the following characteristics:

Be willing to carry heavy objects;
Have experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment;
Have basic understanding of electrical and plumbing;
Give attention to detail;
Be a team player;
Possess driving license B;
Possess own transport;
Be organised, practical and trustworthy;
Be capable of working efficiently and with minimal supervision;
Show a strong dedication towards customer satisfaction;
Be a problem solver and capable in general troubleshooting;
Be proficient in both Maltese and English languages;
Flexible to respond to calls and emergency situations that may arise beyond office hours and during weekends;

Previous experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.
