IT Support Technician

J2 Group Malta

J2 Group is currently recruiting an IT Support Technician on full time basis.

In this position, you will be expected to provide first line support to our clients in Malta & Gozo via remote or onsite visits. You will also be responsible of monitoring and maintaining systems and networks for our clients

Main responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems.
Configure and install servers, workstations and networks
Understand, configure and troubleshoot in-house software applications
Perform viral maintenance and clean-up
Follow company policies and procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities
Be able to document new and existing setups and upgrades.
Responsible for running new cabling
Termination and testing of new cables
Handle all IT technical related issues
Monitoring all client systems and backups

Qualifications

Required to be on call basis affer office hours
A diploma level of education in Computer Science and/or equivalent
Microsoft Certifications
Experience in a similar role
Ability to work in a team
A flexible attitude towards work
Basic knowledge in database administrator (SQL Y MySql) and software development (.net & php) will be considered an asset
