Fresh to Go Foods Limited is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist kitchen staff with the preparation and production of food items.
Wash, peel, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients as required.
Assist with the preparation of meals, salads, sauces, and other food products according to recipes and production requirements.
Ensure ingredients and food products are handled, stored, and labelled correctly.
Assist with packing and preparing finished products for distribution.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Clean and sanitise work surfaces, utensils, equipment, and kitchen facilities.
Wash dishes, trays, containers, and other kitchen equipment as required.
Follow food safety, HACCP, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
Assist with stock rotation and ensure ingredients are used according to established procedures.
Report any damaged, expired, or low-stock ingredients to the relevant supervisor.
Help maintain an organised and efficient kitchen environment.
Assist the kitchen team with general duties during busy production periods.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food production environment is considered an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and production procedures.
Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining food quality.
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
