The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping throughout the supermarket, food production factory, storage areas, and other company premises.

The employee must ensure that all assigned areas are kept clean, safe, hygienic, and organised in accordance with company procedures, HACCP, food safety, health and safety, and hygiene requirements.

Qualifications

Clean and maintain the supermarket sales floor, aisles, entrances, corridors, and customer areas.
Sweep, mop, wash, and maintain floors to a high standard.
Clean toilets, staff facilities, offices, changing rooms, and other designated areas.
Clean doors, glass, windows, walls, and other surfaces as required.
Clean around chilled and frozen displays and storage areas.
Remove rubbish and waste according to company procedures.
Attend immediately to spillages and other situations that may create a safety hazard.
Ensure the supermarket remains clean and presentable throughout the trading day.
Clean and sanitise designated food production and processing areas.
Clean floors, walls, doors, drains, work areas, and other surfaces according to the factory cleaning schedule.
Clean around production equipment and machinery as instructed.
Assist with cleaning and sanitation after production activities.
Ensure food-contact areas are cleaned only according to approved company procedures.
Clean and maintain cold rooms, freezer areas, preparation areas, and storage areas as assigned.
Remove waste and maintain waste disposal areas in a clean and hygienic condition.
Ensure cleaning activities do not cause contamination of food products, ingredients, packaging, or equipment.
Follow the correct procedures to prevent cross-contamination between different areas.
