Position Summary


We are looking to recruit a Toolmaker Assistant to support the day to day running of the tool shop in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment used in our production processes.


Key Responsibilities


· Assisting in setting up and operating machinery

· Maintain a clean and organised work environment

· Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment

· Handle materials, prepare components and inspect parts to ensure specifications are met

· Support the tooling department with inventory, documentation and quality control tasks

Qualifications

Requirements


· Experience in working with hand and power tools

· Experience in working with manual machinery including milling, lathe, pillar-drill, bench, grinder, welding machines and other related equipment.

· Basic understanding of machine stop tools and safety procedures

· Proven ability to work well in a team environment and on own initiative

· Willingness to learn and follow company procedures

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Experience with CNC machining will be considered an asset
