Car Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filter replacement, and fluid top-ups.
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues using diagnostic tools.
Repair or replace faulty components such as brakes, suspension, electrical parts, and engine components.
Conduct engine overhauls, tune engines, and check ignition and fuel systems.
Service and repair AC and cooling systems.
Inspect and maintain brake systems, shock absorbers, suspension, and wheel alignment.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Operate tools, lifts, and diagnostic machines safely and maintain them properly.
Follow all workshop safety standards and ensure vehicles are safe after repairs.
Work collaboratively with technicians and service advisors and assist in workshop cleanliness.
Bike Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform regular servicing tasks such as oil changes, chain adjustments, brake servicing, and filter replacement.
Diagnose mechanical, engine, electrical, and fuel system issues in two-wheelers.
Repair or replace worn-out parts including brakes, clutch components, suspensions, tyres, and engine parts.
Tune carburetors or fuel-injection systems and ensure proper clutch and gear operation.
Inspect tyres, wheels, brakes, and overall vehicle condition for safety.
Use appropriate tools and diagnostic devices to identify and fix issues accurately.
Communicate repair details, time estimates, and maintenance advice clearly to customers.
Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure repaired bikes are running safely.
Keep tools, equipment, and the workspace clean and organized.
Qualifications
Car Mechanic;
Knowledge of engine repair, electrical systems, AC service, and general maintenance.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience.
Bike Mechanic;
Skilled in 2-wheeler servicing, engine repair, and diagnostics.
Experience required.
