Scouting Coordinator for Football Talents

The Scouting Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all football scouting operations across Africa. This includes identifying and evaluating young talent, building local networks, and working closely with our European team to ensure alignment with recruitment goals.
The role combines football-specific knowledge with administrative and analytical responsibilities and requires effective use of digital tools for communication and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead scouting operations across Nigeria, with a focus on youth academies, local clubs, and grassroots development programs
Evaluate technical skill, athletic potential, and psychological readiness for professional careers in Europe
Produce high-quality scouting reports through live match observation, video analysis, and player data reviews
Build and maintain a robust network of contacts within Nigerian football – including clubs, coaches, agents, and development programs
Act as a communication bridge between the field and our central office in Malta
Utilise platforms such as Zoom, Google Workspace, and WhatsApp for administrative coordination and performance reporting
Experienced or former football player trained at a recognised football institution
In-depth understanding of the football ecosystem, including youth development, regional dynamics, and training
methodologies
Strong network within the football community, including grassroots and professional levels
Competence in evaluating both athletic skill and non-technical factors (e.g., mental readiness, adaptability, cultural fit)
Native speaker with strong spoken and written English skills (German is considered a plus)
Well-organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to perform coordination duties independently from our office in Malta
Qualifications
Former player or experienced scout with a background from a recognised football institution or academy
Deep knowledge of the football structure – including local leagues, player development pathways, and regional variations
Strong network within the football community, from grassroots to pro levels
Ability to assess technical skills and soft factors like mentality, adaptability, and cultural fit for European football
Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus)
Tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with a remote international team
