We are seeking a seasoned Trade Finance Specialist to lead and manage our finance operations in support of international trade activities. Based in the heart of the Mediterranean, our Malta office is a strategic hub for global shipping routes—and we're looking for a financial leader to match that ambition.


Key Responsibilities

Lead all trade finance operations, including letters of credit, documentary collections, and bank guarantees.

Structure and negotiate trade finance instruments to support shipping transactions and contracts.

Collaborate with banks, financial institutions, and internal departments to ensure efficient financial workflows.

Assess risk exposure and ensure compliance with international trade laws and financial regulations.

Support strategic decision-making by advising senior management on financing solutions.

Mentor junior finance staff and oversee performance metrics within the finance function

Qualifications

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in trade finance, preferably within the shipping or logistics sector.

Proven experience dealing with international banks and financial institutions.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Fluency in English, Russian, and Azerbaijani is essential due to the nature of our international client base.

Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

EU work authorization or eligibility to work in Malta.
