
Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter (Dishwasher) to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting our kitchen operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitised, and stored properly. The position is weekday-based, offering a stable Monday to Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashers and manual methods.
Keep kitchen areas clean and tidy, including surfaces, floors, walls, and equipment.
Ensure all cleaning is completed in line with hygiene and food safety standards.
Dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately and regularly.
Assist chefs with basic food prep or deliveries when required.
Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and inform management when items need restocking.
Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
Skills & Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential – training will be provided.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good time management and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
