Position Summary?

We are looking to recruit a Toolmaker Assistant to support the day to day running of the tool shop in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment used in our production processes.



Key Responsibilities?

Assisting in setting up and operating machinery

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment

Handle materials, prepare components and inspect parts to ensure specifications are met

Support the tooling department with inventory, documentation and quality control tasks

Qualifications

Requirements?

Experience in working with hand and power tools

Experience in working with manual machinery including milling, lathe, pillar-drill, bench, grinder, welding machines and other related equipment.

Basic understanding of machine stop tools and safety procedures

Proven ability to work well in a team environment and on own initiative

Willingness to learn and follow company procedures

Strong problem-solving skills

Experience with CNC machining will be considered an asset
