Lash Artist required to work in a local salon (Tigne, Sliema)

General responsibilities include attaching lash extensions, maintaining cleanliness, and providing basic aftercare instructions. The ideal candidate should have good customer service skills and support a friendly salon atmosphere.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Consultation: Assessing clients' natural lashes and discussing desired outcomes for eyelash extensions and eyebrow treatments, including options for traditional, volume, or hybrid styles.

- Application: Applying eyelash extensions using various techniques such as ‘Classic Lashes’ (ie. skillfully attaching one extension to one natural lash), “Russian Volume” (ie. applying multiple thin extensions (ranging from 2D to 8D) to a single natural lash to enhance volume and fullness) as well as “Eyebrow Lamination” (ie. straightening and setting the eyebrows in a uniform shape for an extended period.

- Maintenance Advice: Providing aftercare instructions to clients to maintain and extend the life of their lash extensions and eyebrow treatments.

- Ensuring health and safety: Maintaining a sterile environment and using hypoallergenic, safe materials to prevent any eye infections or reactions.

- Guaranteeing client satisfaction: Engaging clients with exemplary customer service, ensuring that the final results meet their expectations, and making adjustments as needed. This also includes recommending products and services based on individual client needs and ability to sell these effectively.

- Continuing education/training and team participation: staying updated on the latest techniques, styles, and health standards in lash artistry, including eyelash extension theory, eye health, sanitation, isolation, application, styling, and aftercare. This also includes participating in continuing education programs and staff meetings.

Qualifications

- At least 12 months experience working as a lash artist - especially with classic lashes, eyebrow lamination and /or 'Russian Volume' - including also also facial waxing;

- Fluency in English;

- Fluency in Russian is considered an asset in view of usual clientele.
