We are looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie with a passion for hospitality and a drive for excellence to oversee and operate our well-established and highly-acclaimed restaurant TORO TORO at Mercury Tower by Zaha Hadid Architects.
We are searching for a gifted and imaginative Pastry Chef de Partie to enhance our
restaurant's culinary brigade. This role is pivotal within our pastry division, demanding a
candidate with a fervent passion for pastry arts, unparalleled attention to detail, and the
aptitude to thrive in a bustling kitchen atmosphere. As a crucial contributor, you will take
charge of crafting and executing an array of superior-quality desserts, pastries, and other
baked delights to enchant our patrons.
Enhanced Responsibilities:
*Spearheaded the preparation and production of various desserts, pastries, bread, and
baked goods, adhering to our high standards and established recipes.
*Partner with the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef to devise and refine pastry menus,
incorporating seasonal components, current culinary trends, and guest preferences to
keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
*Uphold stringent standards for taste, quality, and presentation, ensuring every pastry item
served is impeccable.
*Manage and maintain optimal stock levels of all pastry-related ingredients, supplies, and
equipment. Proactively monitor inventory and liaise with culinary leadership for timely
replenishment.
*Contribute to the pastry team's efforts by organizing tasks, managing priorities, and
sustaining a tidy and orderly pastry station, all while adhering to rigorous food safety and
sanitation protocols.
*Offer mentorship and training to junior members of the pastry team, imparting expertise in
pastry techniques and best practices to nurture their professional growth.
*Ensure a cohesive operation with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to guarantee the
smooth service and accommodate special requests or dietary needs with efficiency and
care.
*Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving demands of the kitchen, guest
preferences, and operational needs with agility and innovation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
*A robust culinary foundation, backed by formal training from a reputable culinary institute
or significant experience in the pastry arts domain.
*A minimum of 2-3 years in a professional kitchen setting, with a dedicated focus on the art
of pastry and dessert creation.
*Demonstrated creativity and a keen artistic sense in the design and presentation of pastry
offerings, coupled with a drive to innovate and elevate our pastry men.
*Expertise in a range of pastry techniques, including but not limited to baking, piping,
molding, and decorating, along with a thorough understanding of fundamental pastry
components.
*An unwavering commitment to precision in every facet of pastry production, from
ingredient preparation to the final presentation.
*Outstanding teamwork and communication capabilities, with a history of productive
collaboration in a dynamic kitchen setting.
*Organizational Prowess: Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of
