TORO TORO RESTAURANT LTD is a steakhouse restaurant and represents Latin American culinary diversity in the hospitality industry.
We are looking for a bartender with a passion for hospitality and a drive for excellence to oversee and operate our well-established and highly-acclaimed restaurant TORO TORO at Mercury Tower by Zaha Hadid Architects.
We seek an experienced and passionate bartender to join our team and elevate our
customers' experience. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving
various beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and
organized bar area. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong
knowledge of cocktails and other beverages, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced
environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine,
and non-alcoholic drinks, according to established recipes and customer
preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as necessary, including liquor,
mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking
supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety
standards.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and
management, to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the establishment.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in the beverage industry, including new
cocktails, ingredients, and techniques, and incorporate them into the menu as
appropriate.
- Handle any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally, seeking
assistance from management as needed to resolve conflicts or concerns.
- Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and policies, including checking
identification and refusing service to intoxicated individuals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a bartender or in a similar role is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine, including ingredients,
preparation methods, and presentation.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a
friendly and engaging manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to
effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and
prioritizing tasks as needed.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and serving beverages, handling
transactions, and maintaining inventory.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business
demands.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification) is preferred,
but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy trays or cases of
beverages.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for operating bar equipment, pouring drinks,
and handling glassware.
- Stamina and endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
