Steel Fixer

You will be working as part of a team and will be responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or steel mesh to reinforce concrete structures. Candidates applying for this position must be residing in Malta.


Responsibilities and duties

• Cut and bend bars or mesh
• Tying rebar together with wire, clips or welds to build up sections
• Fitting spacers and supports
• Fixing the wooden framework and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place
• Fixing steel to concrete bases
• Perform all duties assigned by the Foreman
• Prepared and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g. concrete)
Requirements

• Perform all duties assigned by the Foreman
• Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g cement)
• Digs trenches and cleans rubble and debris from a site prior to starting construction.
• Uses saws, hammers, nails and bolts for framing
• Uses all types of power tools and large
• Have the ability to understand technical drawings



Candidates applying for this position must be residing in Malta.

Qualifications

Experience
• Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in steel fixing
• Must have experience of tying reinforced steel
• Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience within a precast concrete or construction
environment.
