Labourer (Handyman and Plasterer)

We are searching for a skilled handyman and plasterer to work on our construction projects and to deliver excellent plastering to our clients. In this role, you will learn about the key requirements, duties, responsibilities, and skills that should be in a handyman and plasterer job description. You will be working hand in hand with the plumbers and electricians and you will also be mixing plastering materials and reporting to any building issues. To ensure success as a plasterer you need to be skilled at internal and external applications, work independently, and be able to understand the client's desires. A top-notch plasterer has knowledge of different plaster types, both wet and dry, and be able to apply browning, bonding, thistle, carlite, and dri-coat as needed. Responsibilities:
1. Discussing project plans with relevant stakeholders and clients; 2. Examining and priming surfaces for plastering; 3. Selecting the appropriate plastering materials for different sites; 4. Protecting non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials; 5. Applying different plasters to exterior and interior surfaces; 6. Fixing and repairing previous plastering work when necessary; 7. Reporting any structural issues to the site foreman; 8. Mixing and preparing mortar, plasters, and other finishes; 9. Consulting with other contractors to ensure project deadlines are met timeously.

Qualifications

This job requires no qualifications, although previous experience as a handyman and a plasterer is a must.
