The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our flagship concept store and gallery. The manager will be responsible for managing a team of sales assistants, ensuring high-quality customer service, managing inventory, and promoting the store to increase sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage a team of sales assistants and ensure they are providing high-quality customer service to all clients.
- Schedule staff and ensure proper coverage during business hours.
- Oversee the development of photography packages and pricing, and ensure the store's inventory is adequate to meet customer demands.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Train new employees on store policies, procedures, and photography techniques.
- Promote the store through advertising, marketing, and networking events.
- Review the store's financial records and end of day business reports.
- Ensure the store is clean, well-maintained, and has adequate supplies for daily operations.
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends and technology advancements in iris photography to ensure the store remains competitive.
- To continuously monitor the upkeep of machinery including any scheduled maintenance that may be required

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing or photography is considered an asset.
- At least 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
Proficiency in social media and digital advertising is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of photography techniques, equipment, and software is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software programs necessary for retail management.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have adequate vision to assess the quality of photographs and perform other job duties related to iris photography.
- Fluency in English is a must and fluency in Maltese is highly considered.
