Skilled Lab./ Operator

Our company is looking to engage Skilled Labourers / Operators who are prepared to work on our Road construction sites ,able to work under pressure to ensure completion of projects in a timely manner.
This Position is being offered on a full-time basis and benefit of on-the-job training as necessary. H & S measures are high on our agenda above everything else.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Projects.
Overtime and bonus payments are allowed as necessary

Responsibilities:
1. Perform all duties assigned by the Site Manager / Foreman.
2. Follow instructions to ensure the H & S of entire team.
3. Ensure equipment under your responsibility is kept in good working order liaising with the Garage Administrator as necessary.
4. Keeping the equipment under your responsibility as clean as possible.
5. Work within a team.
6. Ensure quality standards are maintained.

Works Description:
1. Secure workplace area with barriers, signs & beacons. Determine possibilities of circulation (manoeuvrability) of vehicles according to TMP.
2. Excavation of various size of trenches for different service utilities.
3. Laying of pipes to falls or cables in trenches.
4.Construction or any required Manholes & Trench Backfilling.
5. Taking up & reconstructions of concrete pavements
6. Concrete Finishing
7. General road excavation.
8. Asphalt milling to requested depths.
9.Levelling of roads with subbase material
10. Laying & compaction of asphalt Layers

Qualifications

Experience considered an asset:
Physically fit for labour works
