Sous Chef

We are seeking to recruit a Sous Chef who is willing to embark on a career in the hospitality industry.
· Ensures our guests consistently receive the highest quality food.
· Ensures that the food is prepared fresh and is of a high quality.
· Ensures that the kitchen staff reports for work on time and in a clean full uniform.
· Ensures the development of his/her subordinates through ongoing training.
· Ensures proper rotation, storage and food temperature is observed.
· Ensures HACCP standard and follow the appropriate hygiene, health and safety
· Assist the Head Chef to create new recipes and to work in his stead
Qualifications
· Hold an ITS food preparation and production diploma or NVQ qualification.
· Minimum of two years’ experience as a Tournant or Chef de Partie in a 4* hotel.
· Strong knowledge of buffet cooking techniques.
· Strong knowledge of seasonal ingredients.
· Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, tools and supplies.
· Good communication skills and personality.
· Ability to lead in all areas of the kitchen.
· Flexible to work in any shift, including weekends and public holidays.
· Ability to provide leadership, motivation and training.
· Work well under pressure
