Sous Chef
Grand Hotel Gozo
We are looking for a Sous Chef (hands on), who will assist our Head Chef in the running of our main Restaurant Il-Migiarro, our summer Rooftop Restaurant Mediterranean Breeze, Bar Snacks and weddings/functions for up to 600 people.
Key Responsibilities:
·Help oversee the operations of the kitchen
·Creating and delivering the perfect dishes with a modern and creative flair that is always up to standard and unique in the market
·Maintain quality by mentoring and training the chefs and other members of kitchen staff to guarantee to deliver the best quality every time
·Ensuring the best of quality local produce. Maintaining and growing key supplier relationships
·Ensuring quantities of stock are maintained for service
·Cover the Head Chef’s duties in his absence

Key Requirements:
·Relevant qualifications in the culinary arts
·Food handling certification
·Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role
·An exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
·Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
·In possession of all necessary work permits to work in Malta
