Technical Specialist

Main Duties: To provide technical support on the Company’s portfolio products as well as on the identification of new products for improved or extended service areas. Additionally he/she shall diagnose and repair faults that may arise on all equipment marketed by the Company to its clients, whilst assisting employees to overcome any technical issues in all areas.
• Assist team members (including after office hours to the On-Call team) in resolving complex technical problems by investigating the root causes as well as recommending smart solutions
• Provide technical assistance, support and feedback to both internal teams and end users
• Train, coach and lead others as necessary in acquiring product knowledge by preparing training plans, facilitate and conduct training/workshops for internal or end user purposes, conduct formal presentations and mentor technical team members accordingly
• Audit technicians on site in view of quality standards and make recommendations as considered necessary
• Understand the goals and targets of the Department and the input that can be contributed towards that by means of reachable suggestions for improvement
• Identify best products available and ensure that client and internal requirements are met whilst service quality is maintained
• To record and report details of faults identified, work performed and components used during any technical intervention at any client site;
• Perform maintenance or repair of an electrical, electronic, mechanical nature in the Company workshop. This also includes the testing of , or/and participating in new product development programs or systems acquired by the Company prior to placement on the Market;
Qualifications
Preferably MQF Level 5 Diploma or MQF Level 4 Certificate in Electrical/ Mechanical subjects or willing to be actively working towards a recognized diploma qualification within 12 months
A minimum of 3 years experience within the company or proven equivalent experience in a similar environment;
Excellent written and oral proficiency in both English and Maltese
Possess a valid driving license
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
