Our client, a leader in providing communications infrastructure supplies, as well as hardware and software solutions is seeking to recruit a number of Cable Installers to join their team.

The persons selected for the role will be required to carry out cable laying, cable works, and corrective cable maintenance. They will be required to perform tasks externally in all types of weather and be able to lift, handle, and carry an 80-pound ladder; work at heights of 3 to 25 feet high as well as bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb, pull and lift during the course of their work.

-Cable laying will include installations of copper and FO cables on the telecommunication network for new service installation, preventive and corrective line maintenance, and broadband field support.
-Cable Works will include working with/on primary copper cable in ducts, duct bore dividers, secondary copper cable in ducts, secondary copper cables overhead, fiber optic cable in ducts, and fiber optic cable overhead.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates for the role will have a minimum of one year of work experience. They should have a good command of English, have a valid driving license and a clean police conduct. Preference will be given to candidates who are also able to operate cherry pickers, winches, hand tools, power tools, ladders, rodding equipment, gas detection devices.
